Why one at a time
Most salons run a production line. We don't.
In a busy salon your dog is bathed, then put in a crate. Dried, then back in the crate. Waiting, listening to other dogs, sometimes for five or six hours. It works — but it's stressful, and you can see it in how they come home.
Here there is one dog in the building. Yours. We start when you arrive and we finish when it's done, usually in ninety minutes to two hours, and the crate stays empty.
Calm is the whole method
No dryers roaring in the background, no barking pack next door. Nervous and elderly dogs do far better in a quiet room, so that's the room we built.
The same hands, every visit
Kaci does every groom herself. Your dog isn't passed between a bather, a dryer and a stylist — they meet one person and learn to trust them.
Honest about what's possible
If a coat is too matted to save, we'll tell you before we start and explain the options. Comfort comes before the haircut, always.

Hello, I'm Kaci
I've been grooming dogs for years, and KC's Canine Spa is the salon I always wanted to work in — small, quiet, and built around the dog rather than the diary.
I'm City & Guilds qualified and fully insured, and I take one dog at a time so I can actually pay attention. If your dog is nervous, elderly, reactive around other dogs, or has simply had a bad experience somewhere else, please tell me when you book. We can go slowly, split it over two visits, or just have a meet-and-greet first with no clippers in sight. There's no rush and no judgement.

Things owners ask
How long will my dog be with you?
Usually between ninety minutes and two hours for a full groom, depending on size and coat condition. Because we only take one dog at a time there's no waiting around in a crate — you drop off, we get straight on with it, and you collect when it's done.
My dog is nervous. Can you still groom them?
Very often, yes, and the one-to-one setup is exactly why. Tell Kaci when you book and we'll take it at your dog's pace — that might mean a shorter first session, splitting the groom over two visits, or just coming in for a fuss and a biscuit with no grooming at all the first time. If we genuinely can't do it safely we'll say so and point you towards a vet or a behaviourist rather than push on.
What if my dog's coat is badly matted?
We'll assess it before we start and talk you through the options honestly. Light matting can usually be worked out. Tight matting close to the skin is painful to brush and can hide sores, so the kind thing is often to clip it short and start the coat again — welfare comes before the haircut. Matting fees apply where a coat needs a lot of extra work, and you'll know the price before anything begins.
Do you groom puppies?
Yes, and the earlier the better. A puppy's first visit is deliberately short and low-pressure — meeting the table, the water and the noise of the dryer, plus a light tidy. Getting that first experience right makes every groom for the rest of their life easier. Puppies should have had their second vaccination before coming in.
How often should my dog be groomed?
As a rough guide: poodle crosses and other non-shedding coats every six to eight weeks, spaniels around every eight to ten, and double-coated breeds a few times a year plus de-shedding when they blow their coat. Brushing at home between visits makes a huge difference — ask Kaci to show you how for your dog's coat and she happily will.
What do I need to bring?
Just your dog on a lead, and their vaccination record if it's a first visit. Let them have a wee before you come in. Please don't feed them a big meal right beforehand.
Where do I park?
We're on Wellington Way, right in Waterlooville town centre, so the town centre car parks are a very short walk away. If you're running late for a slot, ring rather than rush — it's not a problem.
How do I pay?
Card or cash on the day. New clients get 10% off their first groom, applied automatically — you don't need a code.
